Topic choices: Revealing concealed processes of curriculum sequencing in English secondary school Music classrooms

Music curriculum programmes are designed by English teachers in schools as the primary means of musical engagement for young people aged 11–14. Such curricula often structured learning topics. However, teacher rationales sequencing topics they have chosen to include their is an under-developed area music education research literature. This study seeks examine practices this domain through a comparative case nine secondary school using Think Aloud Protocols uncover practices. The findings analysed Friedman ANOVA statistical test and eyeball analysis formulations. Theorising from these results facilitated development model processing, illuminated hidden design.
